Fisherman’s Wharf Marina & Campgrounds has been serving Cedar Creek Lake residents and visitors for over 30 years, and remembered by many for the fish that feed off the back balcony. Larry and Karen Hounshell, along with their pugs Otis, Casey, Julia, their new addition Shad, and as always Bear (and at any given time you can find a pup or two waiting to be claimed) own and operate Fisherman’s Wharf Marina. They are the 3rd owners since it’s establishment in the middle of the1960’s. The Hounshell’s have 5 daughters, with 17 grandchildren, all of which love to hang out with Pappy and Grammy pitching in when and where they can. Larry and Karen moved to the Cedar Creek Area in April of 1999 commuting to jobs in the Dallas and Garland area. In early 2005 they began their search for a campgrounds to purchase or lease. They came across Fisherman’s Wharf Marina via some friends and began their pursuit to purchase. They closed the deal on June 3, 2005. They continue to upgrade the facilities yearly and look forward to meeting you. Come join us at Fisherman’s Wharf Marina & Campgrounds where the coffee and tall tales are always FREE!!!!!!
